Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Views of Lara website and the booking of photography services provided by Lara Atia, operating under the brand Views of Lara based in Paris.

By booking a session or using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.

2. Services

Views of Lara offers Photography and Creative direction services including but not limited to:

Portrait

Branding & Creative Identity sessions

Wedding & Elopement photography

Love Stories & Couples sessions

Premium Events photography

All services are subject to availability and confirmation by Views of Lara.

3. Booking & Confirmation

A booking is only confirmed once:

A signed agreement or written confirmation has been exchanged

The deposit has been received

No booking and date is held without a deposit payment. Views of Lara reserves the right to decline any booking request.

4. Deposit & Payment

Most of the times, a minimum deposit of 40% of the total package price is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due no later than the day of the session.

For weddings and events, full payment terms will be specified at the time of booking.

Payment plans may be available for certain packages upon prior request.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

By the client:

Cancellation more than 30 days before the session: deposit is non-refundable but may be applied to a rescheduled date.

Cancellation less than 30 days before the session: deposit is non-refundable and the full balance may be due depending on the package.

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 14 days in advance and are subject to availability.

By Views of Lara:

In the unlikely event that Views of Lara must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of all payments made will be issued, or an alternative date will be proposed id possible.

6. Weather & Force Majeure

For outdoor sessions, if weather conditions prevent the session from taking place as planned, it will be rescheduled at no additional cost to the client if wanted.

Views of Lara cannot be held liable for cancellations or delays caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to illness, accidents, natural disasters, or other force majeure events.

7. Image Delivery

Edited images will be delivered within the timeline specified in the package, via a private, password-protected online gallery.

Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending the workload. Express delivery is available for an additional fee if agreed in advance.

8. Image Rights & Usage

Views of Lara retains the copyright of all images produced during sessions.

The client receives a personal, non-commercial licence to use the delivered images for personal use only. Commercial use requires prior written agreement.

By default, Views of Lara reserves the right to use session images for portfolio, website, and social media purposes. If the client wishes for full confidentiality of their images, a confidentiality fee of 15% of the total package price applies. See Privacy Policy for full details.

Views of Lara commits to treating every image with the utmost respect, care, and dignity. Every person photographed deserves to feel seen, valued, and beautifully represented. Editing is carried out with intention and sensitivity, never in a way that demeans the client.

9. Artistic Vision & Satisfaction

The editing style of Views of Lara reflects a specific artistic vision. Requests for heavy alteration of this style are not guaranteed. Basic retouching is included as specified in each package. Additional retouching requests are subject to availability.

Views of Lara operates as an independent creative artist. All photography and editing is carried out in accordance with the artistic style and vision of Views of Lara, as presented on the website, portfolio, and social media at the time of booking.

By booking a session, the client acknowledges and accepts the artistic style of Views of Lara. A moodboard is systematically built together prior to every session to align expectations and ensure the client's vision is understood and considered.

However, Views of Lara cannot be held liable if the delivered images do not correspond to the client's personal taste or expectations beyond what was agreed upon during the preparation process. Dissatisfaction with the artistic style does not constitute grounds for a refund.

10. Equipment

Views of Lara takes all reasonable precautions to ensure equipment reliability, including bringing backup equipment to all sessions. In the unlikely event of equipment failure beyond our control, we will do our best to deliver the agreed service and will communicate transparently with the client.

11. Equipment Damage

Views of Lara brings professional photography equipment to every session. In the event that the client or any third party present during the session causes damage to or loss of any equipment belonging to Views of Lara, whether through negligence, accident, or intentional action ; the client shall be held fully liable for the cost of repair or replacement of the damaged or lost equipment.

The cost of repair or replacement will be assessed based on the current market value of the equipment concerned. Views of Lara reserves the right to pursue compensation through the appropriate legal channels under French law in the event of refusal to compensate.

11. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for:

Arriving on time for the session

Communicating any specific requirements or constraints in advance

Ensuring that any third parties present at the session are aware of and consent to being photographed ;

By booking a session, the client automatically accepts these Terms and Conditions on behalf of themselves and any third parties present during the session. It is the client's responsibility to inform and obtain consent from any such individuals prior to the session. Views of Lara cannot be held liable for any dispute arising from a third party who was not informed of these terms.

12. Conduct During Sessions

Views of Lara reserves the right to terminate a session at any time if the client or any person present behaves in a disrespectful, abusive, or inappropriate manner toward the photographer or any team member. In such cases, no refund will be issued.

13. Location & Access

The client is responsible for ensuring access to any privately owned location chosen for the session. Views of Lara cannot be held liable for any issues arising from restricted access, permits required, or location changes made on the day of the session.

14. Minors

By booking a session involving a minor, the parent or guardian confirms that they hold full parental authority and consent to the session taking place.

15. Third-Party Partners

Views of Lara may work alongside professional partners (stylists, make-up artists) whose services are subject to their own terms and pricing. Views of Lara acts as an intermediary and cannot be held responsible for the services provided by third-party partners.

16. Limitation of Liability

Views of Lara's liability is limited to the total amount paid for the service in question. Views of Lara cannot be held liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
